VAIL, Colorado — Good news for bombers around the Centennial State… Vail’s ski season will last even longer!
Officials in Vail have extended the scheduled closing date for the resort’s ski season to May 1. This is a week longer than originally planned, making it the longest ski season in resort history.
Beth Howard, the Vice President and CEO of Vail Mountain, said, “This extension is made entirely possible by the dedicated mountain staff who have worked to provide guests with an outstanding winter season. We are truly grateful for everyone’s hard work to open over 5,100 acres of terrain and for our longest season on record.”

Officials attribute this landmark decision to the snowfall accumulated around the winter holidays.
According to “On the Snow,” Vail has gotten 179 inches of snow this season.
