DENVER, Colorado— She’s big, she’s back, and she’s full of stink.
The infamous Amorphophallus Titanum, or Corpse Flower, lovingly nicknamed “Lil’ Stinker” is in full bloom at the Denver Botanic Garden!
It’s been a while since she’s made a grand entrance. The last time Lil’ Stinker bloomed was in 2016.
The name stems from being one of the smelliest plants on Earth. Some describe the odor as rotting flesh. However, it also has the largest collection of flowers (inflorescence) in the world.
Lil’ Stinker will only bloom for 24-36 hours, so if you want a chance to catch a glimpse (and smell her in all her beauty), you’ll need to buy tickets here: https://www.botanicgardens.org/tickets-log
