As an on-air reporter and anchor who’s worked in Texas, Florida, and now Colorado, I’ve covered a lot of good news, and even more bad news. Journalists have an enormous responsibility in local communities to help those who are wronged, hold people in power accountable, share life-saving information, and enact change.
Did you notice anything missing though? Where’s the fun? The happiness? The “I
love living here?!”
Don’t get me wrong—there is usually an absolute need for those serious stories to get air-time. However, I happen to think that the good, unique, and joyful moments deserve to be showcased as well. As I settle into life in Denver, I want to focus on the “happy.”
So please join my little blog as I look at this city through my own rose-colored glasses. My goal is to share what makes Colorado great—which is not onlyyy about the stunning mountains and landscape we’re surrounded by—it’s also about the people living here.
